# Unscreen vs CertHive

The clearest difference is update cadence: CertHive at every 5 days against Unscreen's monthly. CertHive also leads on iOS requirement (14.0 vs 16.1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Unscreen sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month and CertHive sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Unscreen ships an update monthly, CertHive every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
