# SAND vs Zen AutoPan

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Zen AutoPan at none against SAND's 4. SAND's advantage is update cadence (every 2 months vs every 13 months) and ratings volume (89 vs 15). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SAND sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Zen AutoPan asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for SAND against 4.7 for Zen AutoPan. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SAND has 89 ratings behind it against 15, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 79% and 80% positive.

SAND ships an update every 2 months, Zen AutoPan every 13 months. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
