# VPN Proxy & Internet Speed Pro vs SecStream VPN

The clearest difference is monetization model: SecStream VPN at free with in-app purchases against VPN Proxy & Internet Speed Pro's subscription. SecStream VPN also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 6 weeks). VPN Proxy & Internet Speed Pro's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (3.3K vs 204). On price, rating, review sentiment and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VPN Proxy & Internet Speed Pro sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days and SecStream VPN sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for VPN Proxy & Internet Speed Pro against 4.7 for SecStream VPN. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VPN Proxy & Internet Speed Pro has 3.3K ratings behind it against 204, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 64% of VPN Proxy & Internet Speed Pro's written reviews are positive against 60% of SecStream VPN's.

VPN Proxy & Internet Speed Pro ships an update every 6 weeks, SecStream VPN fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
