# TabPad vs Instanotes AI

The clearest difference is update cadence: Instanotes AI at every 4 weeks against TabPad's every 7 months. Instanotes AI also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TabPad sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and Instanotes AI sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

TabPad ships an update every 7 months, Instanotes AI every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
