# TabPad vs Magnet

The clearest difference is ads: Magnet at none against TabPad's shown. Magnet also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs every 7 months). TabPad's advantage is device support (4 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18). On price and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TabPad sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and Magnet sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

TabPad ships an update every 7 months, Magnet every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
