# TabPad vs TORB

The clearest difference is ads: TORB at none against TabPad's shown. TORB also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 7 months). TabPad's advantage is device support (4 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.0). On price and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TabPad sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and TORB sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

TabPad ships an update every 7 months, TORB fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
