# Little Big Workshop vs Potion Permit

The clearest difference is rating: Potion Permit at 4.4 against Little Big Workshop's 4.1. Potion Permit also leads on ratings volume (549 vs 23) and chart position (#143 vs unranked). Little Big Workshop's advantage is price ($1.99 vs $6.99) and review sentiment (60% vs 40%). On update cadence, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Little Big Workshop costs $1.99 and Potion Permit $6.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Potion Permit holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Potion Permit has 549 ratings behind it against 23, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 60% of Little Big Workshop's written reviews are positive against 40% of Potion Permit's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
