# Magic Theme vs VariTheme

The clearest difference is rating: Magic Theme at 4.6 against VariTheme's 3.8. Magic Theme also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (1.2K vs 6). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Magic Theme sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and VariTheme sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Magic Theme holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Magic Theme has 1.2K ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and September 26, 2026 respectively.
