# Magic Theme vs AR ScanPRO

The clearest difference is ads: Magic Theme at none against AR ScanPRO's shown. Magic Theme also leads on rating (4.6 vs 4.2) and ratings volume (1.2K vs 10). AR ScanPRO's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Magic Theme sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and AR ScanPRO sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Magic Theme holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Magic Theme has 1.2K ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 88% of Magic Theme's written reviews are positive against 95% of AR ScanPRO's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Magic Theme ships an update every 3 weeks, AR ScanPRO weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
