# NOVA vs Owting

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Owting at 100% against NOVA's 37%. Owting also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 3) and update cadence (every 3 days vs every 3 weeks). NOVA's advantage is ratings volume (1.2K vs 13) and chart position (#158 vs unranked). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. NOVA sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per month. Owting asks for nothing beyond the download.

Owting holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: NOVA has 1.2K ratings behind it against 13, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 37% of NOVA's written reviews are positive against 100% of Owting's.

NOVA ships an update every 3 weeks, Owting every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
