# NOVA vs Instrumental Giving

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Instrumental Giving at none against NOVA's 3. Instrumental Giving also leads on review sentiment (50% vs 37%) and iOS requirement (14.0.0 vs 16.4). NOVA's advantage is ratings volume (1.2K vs 5) and chart position (#176 vs unranked). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. NOVA sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per month. Instrumental Giving asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.3 for NOVA against 4.2 for Instrumental Giving. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: NOVA has 1.2K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 37% of NOVA's written reviews are positive against 50% of Instrumental Giving's.

NOVA ships an update monthly, Instrumental Giving every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
