# NOVA vs UBU

The clearest difference is rating: UBU at 5.0 against NOVA's 4.3. UBU also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 3). NOVA's advantage is ratings volume (1.2K vs 1) and chart position (#140 vs unranked). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. NOVA sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per month. UBU asks for nothing beyond the download.

UBU holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: NOVA has 1.2K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

NOVA ships an update every 3 weeks, UBU every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
