# NOVA vs 6 Star

The clearest difference is review sentiment: 6 Star at 100% against NOVA's 37%. 6 Star also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 3). NOVA's advantage is ratings volume (1.2K vs 4) and rating (4.3 vs 4.0). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. NOVA sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per month. 6 Star asks for nothing beyond the download.

NOVA holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: NOVA has 1.2K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 37% of NOVA's written reviews are positive against 100% of 6 Star's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

NOVA ships an update every 3 weeks, 6 Star every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
