# NOVA vs Poke

The clearest difference is rating: NOVA at 4.3 against Poke's 1.0. NOVA also leads on ratings volume (1.2K vs 1) and chart position (#168 vs unranked). Poke's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 3) and update cadence (every 3 days vs monthly). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. NOVA sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per month. Poke asks for nothing beyond the download.

NOVA holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: NOVA has 1.2K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

NOVA ships an update monthly, Poke every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on November 7, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
