# AromaPlus vs Scentist

The clearest difference is rating: AromaPlus at 2.2 against Scentist's 1.5. AromaPlus also leads on ratings volume (46 vs 11) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 13.0). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

AromaPlus holds the better App Store score, 2.2 against 1.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 46 and 11 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 18% of AromaPlus's written reviews are positive against 20% of Scentist's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

AromaPlus ships an update every 2 months, Scentist every 3 months. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
