# H3C Magic vs FlowDown

The clearest difference is rating: FlowDown at 4.3 against H3C Magic's 1.0. FlowDown also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (29 vs 1). H3C Magic's advantage is monetization model (free vs paid) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

FlowDown holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FlowDown has 29 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

H3C Magic ships an update every 2 months, FlowDown every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
