# Power Dig vs Giant Excavator

The clearest difference is update cadence: Power Dig at every 5 weeks against Giant Excavator's every 4 months. Power Dig also leads on ratings volume (6.2K vs 547). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Power Dig sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Giant Excavator sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Power Dig against 4.7 for Giant Excavator. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Power Dig has 6.2K ratings behind it against 547, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 23% of Power Dig's written reviews are positive against 27% of Giant Excavator's.

Power Dig ships an update every 5 weeks, Giant Excavator every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on November 7, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
