# Cursive vs Cursively Handwriting Lessons

The clearest difference is ads: Cursively Handwriting Lessons at none against Cursive's shown. Cursive's advantage is ratings volume (4.9K vs 131) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.4). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Cursive sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Cursively Handwriting Lessons sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for Cursive against 4.4 for Cursively Handwriting Lessons. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Cursive has 4.9K ratings behind it against 131, so its average is the more settled of the two.
