# Magic Studio vs Video Eraser

Magic Studio and Video Eraser both sit at 4.5 stars, but that hides the real split: 71% of Magic Studio's written reviews are positive against 49% of Video Eraser's. Video Eraser's advantage is ratings volume (1.3K vs 50) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs monthly). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Magic Studio sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per month and Video Eraser sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for Magic Studio against 4.7 for Video Eraser. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Video Eraser has 1.3K ratings behind it against 50, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 71% of Magic Studio's written reviews are positive against 49% of Video Eraser's.

Magic Studio ships an update monthly, Video Eraser every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
