# VidSub vs SubOut

The clearest difference is rating: SubOut at 5.0 against VidSub's 4.3. SubOut also leads on ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (100% vs 67%). VidSub's advantage is ratings volume (12 vs 2) and iOS requirement (15.6 vs 18.6). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VidSub sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and SubOut sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SubOut holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VidSub has 12 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 67% of VidSub's written reviews are positive against 100% of SubOut's.

VidSub ships an update every 5 weeks, SubOut every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
