# xZoom Cam vs SillyCam

The clearest difference is update cadence: SillyCam at every 6 days against xZoom Cam's fortnightly. xZoom Cam's advantage is device support (4 vs 2) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. xZoom Cam sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days and SillyCam sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

xZoom Cam ships an update fortnightly, SillyCam every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on November 7, 2026 and November 6, 2026 respectively.
