# BRIGHTLUX vs LED Light Controller Remote +

The clearest difference is rating: LED Light Controller Remote + at 4.4 against BRIGHTLUX's 2.0. LED Light Controller Remote + also leads on update cadence (every 8 days vs every 16 months) and ratings volume (3.4K vs 6). BRIGHTLUX's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 11) and ads (none vs shown). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. LED Light Controller Remote + sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. BRIGHTLUX asks for nothing beyond the download.

LED Light Controller Remote + holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 2.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: LED Light Controller Remote + has 3.4K ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of BRIGHTLUX's written reviews are positive against 32% of LED Light Controller Remote +'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

BRIGHTLUX ships an update every 16 months, LED Light Controller Remote + every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
