# Moe Memos vs Leaf Note

The clearest difference is monetization model: Leaf Note at free against Moe Memos's free with in-app purchases. Leaf Note also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.0). Moe Memos's advantage is ratings volume (43 vs 1). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Moe Memos sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Leaf Note sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.1 for Moe Memos against 4.0 for Leaf Note. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Moe Memos has 43 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Moe Memos ships an update every 2 months, Leaf Note every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and September 28, 2026 respectively.
