# PianoKiwis vs Falling Note

The clearest difference is rating: Falling Note at 4.6 against PianoKiwis's 4.2. Falling Note also leads on ratings volume (321 vs 28) and update cadence (every 3 days vs weekly). PianoKiwis's advantage is review sentiment (82% vs 65%) and iOS requirement (16.0 vs 18.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PianoKiwis sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $15.99 per month and Falling Note sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Falling Note holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Falling Note has 321 ratings behind it against 28, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 82% of PianoKiwis's written reviews are positive against 65% of Falling Note's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

PianoKiwis ships an update weekly, Falling Note every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
