# DIY Solar System vs Seepolls

The clearest difference is ads: DIY Solar System at none against Seepolls's shown. DIY Solar System also leads on monetization model (free vs ad-supported) and ratings volume (17 vs 2). Seepolls's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.5) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Seepolls holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DIY Solar System has 17 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

DIY Solar System ships an update every 2 months, Seepolls every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and November 4, 2026 respectively.
