Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Webcam for OBS at 4.6 against EMEETSTREAM's 2.0. Webcam for OBS also leads on ratings volume (327 vs 11). EMEETSTREAM's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 2) and iOS requirement (12.1 vs 15.6). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Webcam for OBS holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 2.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Webcam for OBS has 327 ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 15% of EMEETSTREAM's written reviews are positive against 11% of Webcam for OBS's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
EMEETSTREAM ships an update fortnightly, Webcam for OBS every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 24, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
