# Safe Notes vs Note

The clearest difference is rating: Note at 5.0 against Safe Notes's 4.3. Note also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 3) and ads (none vs shown). Safe Notes's advantage is update cadence (every 10 days vs every 12 months) and ratings volume (19 vs 1). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Safe Notes sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Note asks for nothing beyond the download.

Note holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Safe Notes has 19 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Safe Notes ships an update every 10 days, Note every 12 months. The most recent releases landed on August 27, 2026 and September 23, 2026 respectively.
