# XNote vs Noting Pro

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: XNote at none against Noting Pro's 1. XNote also leads on rating (4.6 vs 4.3) and ratings volume (76 vs 10). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Noting Pro sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. XNote asks for nothing beyond the download.

XNote holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: XNote has 76 ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 60% and 60% positive.

XNote ships an update weekly, Noting Pro every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
