# FaceBlur Video vs Precious Pixels

The clearest difference is ratings volume: FaceBlur Video at 48 against Precious Pixels's 1. FaceBlur Video also leads on rating (4.3 vs 4.0) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 16.0). Precious Pixels's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs weekly). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FaceBlur Video sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and Precious Pixels sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

FaceBlur Video holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FaceBlur Video has 48 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

FaceBlur Video ships an update weekly, Precious Pixels every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and September 16, 2026 respectively.
