# NDI Player vs Steeple Cast

The clearest difference is rating: Steeple Cast at 5.0 against NDI Player's 3.8. Steeple Cast also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 4). NDI Player's advantage is ratings volume (18 vs 1) and update cadence (fortnightly vs monthly). On price, ads, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. NDI Player sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Steeple Cast asks for nothing beyond the download.

Steeple Cast holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: NDI Player has 18 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

NDI Player ships an update fortnightly, Steeple Cast monthly. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and November 6, 2026 respectively.
