# Work Hours Calculator vs Timesheet & Activity Log

The clearest difference is rating: Work Hours Calculator at 4.7 against Timesheet & Activity Log's 4.1. Work Hours Calculator also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 10 days vs every 4 months). Timesheet & Activity Log's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and review sentiment (100% vs 86%). On price and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Work Hours Calculator sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Timesheet & Activity Log sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Work Hours Calculator holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Work Hours Calculator has 705 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 86% of Work Hours Calculator's written reviews are positive against 100% of Timesheet & Activity Log's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Work Hours Calculator ships an update every 10 days, Timesheet & Activity Log every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
