# Work Hours Calculator vs Hours Tracker

The clearest difference is monetization model: Hours Tracker at freemium against Work Hours Calculator's subscription. Hours Tracker also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7). Work Hours Calculator's advantage is ratings volume (661 vs 1) and update cadence (every 10 days vs every 2 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Work Hours Calculator sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Hours Tracker sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Hours Tracker holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Work Hours Calculator has 661 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Work Hours Calculator ships an update every 10 days, Hours Tracker every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
