# Day Counter widget vs Duse

The clearest difference is monetization model: Day Counter widget at free against Duse's freemium. Day Counter widget also leads on rating (4.8 vs 4.6) and ratings volume (94 vs 18). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Day Counter widget sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per year and Duse sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Day Counter widget holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Day Counter widget has 94 ratings behind it against 18, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 83% of Day Counter widget's written reviews are positive against 89% of Duse's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Day Counter widget ships an update weekly, Duse fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
