# Bionic Reading® vs BionRead

The clearest difference is rating: BionRead at 5.0 against Bionic Reading®'s 2.4. BionRead also leads on monetization model (free vs freemium). Bionic Reading®'s advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 7 months) and ratings volume (151 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Bionic Reading® sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.95 per month and BionRead sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
