# FlipClock vs AOD Battery

The clearest difference is rating: FlipClock at 4.0 against AOD Battery's 3.3. FlipClock also leads on device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.0). AOD Battery's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 4 days vs every 19 months). On price, ratings volume, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FlipClock sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and AOD Battery sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

FlipClock holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 3.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 4 and 3 respectively.

FlipClock ships an update every 19 months, AOD Battery every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
