# QR vs QR Code

The clearest difference is ads: QR Code at none against QR's shown. QR Code also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 69%) and update cadence (weekly vs fortnightly). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. QR sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days and QR Code sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

QR ships an update fortnightly, QR Code weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
