# TV Remote Control Universal + vs JoeyLog

The clearest difference is rating: JoeyLog at 5.0 against TV Remote Control Universal +'s 4.4. JoeyLog also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs monthly). TV Remote Control Universal +'s advantage is ratings volume (13K vs 1) and iOS requirement (15 vs 17.0). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TV Remote Control Universal + sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days and JoeyLog sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

JoeyLog holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TV Remote Control Universal + has 13K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

TV Remote Control Universal + ships an update monthly, JoeyLog every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
