# LockNotes vs Lock Screen Text

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: LockNotes at none against Lock Screen Text's 1. Lock Screen Text's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 2 days vs every 3 months). On price, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Lock Screen Text sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. LockNotes asks for nothing beyond the download.

LockNotes ships an update every 3 months, Lock Screen Text every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
