# Moving Art vs Pocket Cinema+

The clearest difference is monetization model: Pocket Cinema+ at free with in-app purchases against Moving Art's subscription. Pocket Cinema+ also leads on update cadence (weekly vs monthly). Moving Art's advantage is ratings volume (42 vs 2) and device support (4 vs 2). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Moving Art sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Pocket Cinema+ sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $24.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Moving Art against 5.0 for Pocket Cinema+. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Moving Art has 42 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 97% of Moving Art's written reviews are positive against 100% of Pocket Cinema+'s.

Moving Art ships an update monthly, Pocket Cinema+ weekly. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
