# almentor vs Octucode

The clearest difference is ads: almentor at none against Octucode's shown. almentor also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 5 weeks). On price, rating, review sentiment and ratings volume there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. almentor sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $21.99 per month and Octucode sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $59.99 per 3 months. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

almentor holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 106 and 289 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 71% of almentor's written reviews are positive against 75% of Octucode's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

almentor ships an update fortnightly, Octucode every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
