# almentor vs Step forward

The clearest difference is update cadence: almentor at fortnightly against Step forward's every 6 weeks. Step forward's advantage is iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. almentor sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $21.99 per month and Step forward sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

almentor ships an update fortnightly, Step forward every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
