# Macmillan Education Everywhere vs Cambridge Active Learn

The clearest difference is rating: Macmillan Education Everywhere at 2.4 against Cambridge Active Learn's 1.0. Macmillan Education Everywhere also leads on ratings volume (12 vs 1) and update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 3 months). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Macmillan Education Everywhere holds the better App Store score, 2.4 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Macmillan Education Everywhere has 12 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 13% of Macmillan Education Everywhere's written reviews are positive against 20% of Cambridge Active Learn's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Macmillan Education Everywhere ships an update every 5 weeks, Cambridge Active Learn every 3 months. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
