# Top Four vs DepthWall

The clearest difference is monetization model: Top Four at free with in-app purchases against DepthWall's subscription. Top Four also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs fortnightly) and ratings volume (35 vs 4). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Top Four sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and DepthWall sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Top Four against 4.8 for DepthWall. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Top Four has 35 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Top Four ships an update every 4 days, DepthWall fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
