# OmniLock vs aLock

The clearest difference is rating: aLock at 4.6 against OmniLock's 3.9. On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. OmniLock sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and aLock sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

aLock holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.9. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 29 and 31 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 81% of OmniLock's written reviews are positive against 75% of aLock's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
