# OmniLock vs Video Summarizer

The clearest difference is rating: Video Summarizer at 4.7 against OmniLock's 3.9. Video Summarizer also leads on ratings volume (157 vs 29) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.0). OmniLock's advantage is ads (none vs shown). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. OmniLock sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Video Summarizer sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Video Summarizer holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Video Summarizer has 157 ratings behind it against 29, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 81% of OmniLock's written reviews are positive against 75% of Video Summarizer's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
