# OmniLock vs Monk Mode

The clearest difference is rating: Monk Mode at 5.0 against OmniLock's 3.9. Monk Mode also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 1) and update cadence (every 2 days vs every 3 weeks). OmniLock's advantage is ratings volume (29 vs 2). On price, ads, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. OmniLock sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Monk Mode asks for nothing beyond the download.

Monk Mode holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: OmniLock has 29 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

OmniLock ships an update every 3 weeks, Monk Mode every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
