# Refocus vs LOCKD

The clearest difference is ads: LOCKD at none against Refocus's shown. LOCKD also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). Refocus's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 3 months) and review sentiment (93% vs 67%). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Refocus sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month and LOCKD sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Refocus ships an update weekly, LOCKD every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
