# QuikScano vs Scarlet AI

The clearest difference is rating: Scarlet AI at 4.6 against QuikScano's 1.0. Scarlet AI also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (weekly vs every 2 months). QuikScano's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and iOS requirement (11.2 vs 15.1). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. QuikScano sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days and Scarlet AI sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Scarlet AI holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Scarlet AI has 252 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

QuikScano ships an update every 2 months, Scarlet AI weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
