# Live Written™ vs Chorcha

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Chorcha at none against Live Written™'s 2. Chorcha also leads on rating (4.4 vs 4.2) and ratings volume (212 vs 12). Live Written™'s advantage is review sentiment (67% vs 50%). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Live Written™ sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Chorcha asks for nothing beyond the download.

Chorcha holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Chorcha has 212 ratings behind it against 12, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of Live Written™'s written reviews are positive against 50% of Chorcha's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Live Written™ ships an update fortnightly, Chorcha every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
