# Handwriting Book vs CanvasNote

The clearest difference is device support: Handwriting Book at 3 against CanvasNote's 1. On price, ads, in-app purchases and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Handwriting Book sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $4.49 per year and CanvasNote sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
